Tony Romo believes every member of the Cowboys needs to look at themselves during the off-season “from an honest perspective.” I suggest that he dig up his copy of Bill Parcells’ QB commandments (or Google one like this) and evaluate whether he’s followed them.
Romo has definitely violated commandments Nos. 7 (protect against bad plays) and 11 (don’t be a celebrity QB). A lot of his teammates, according to the sources in Calvin Watkins’ story about the Valley Ranch mess, believe that Romo has also violated No. 6 (prepare yourself).
Actually, Romo has completely dismissed No. 11. He was asked about that after returning from his Cabo getaway with Jessica Simpson and the gang.
“You’re talking about a celebrity coach,” Romo responded.
That might be true, but the Tuna had a couple of Super Bowl rings before he became a celebrity.
