Jerry Jones has said that the Cowboys won’t be major players in free agency this season. He’s also mentioned without prompting on more than one occasion that an uncapped year is coming in 2010.

Jerry making like George Steinbrenner and trying to buy a title is as predictable as the media flocking to T.O.’s locker on Wednesdays. Especially since JerryWorld will host the Super Bowl that season.

There’s plenty of time for teams to work out extensions with potential free agents between now and the end of next season, but here’s a list of players that could be on the Cowboys’ shopping list a year from now:
