Saints keep it close

New Orleans’ fourth-down gamble didn’t pay off from the Indianapolis 1, but the Saints were able to get the ball back after forcing a three-and-out by Peyton Manning and end the half with a 44-yard field goal by Garrett Hartley.

Not that Sean Payton is looking for some advice, but he should skip the run in the secoind half. The Colts have not been able to get to Drew Brees and the Saints QB has settled down after an amped up start.

The Colts quickness is giving New Orleans fits in the running game. Not so much through the air.

For the Colts, they must get the ball. Peyton Manning has been hit but not that much. Joseph Addai is having his best game of the post-season. If not for a Pierre Garcon drop that led to the Colts’ first punt, then Indy would be in business for its second title in three years.

Now it’s 10-6 and a ballgame.
