Cornerback Mike Jenkins leads the Cowboys with two interceptions. He had a third taken away by a penalty on another player.
The start has persuaded him to change his goal. Jenkins came into the season hoping to reach four interceptions, but has now revised that number.
“Six,” Jenkins said. “At the pace I’m going right now, I may reach six or more.”
Jenkins knows he’s setting the bar high. How high? If he finishes the season with six interceptions, it will tie him with Anhony Henry for the most interceptions by a Cowboy in a single season over the last 14 years.
