The Cowboys have ended the alternating between Mike Jenkins and Orlando Scandrick, naming Jenkins the starter for Sunday’s game at Denver.

“I’m just going to keep doing what I’m doing,” Jenkins said. “Keep the same mentality and go out there and play.”

Scandrick, who struggled against the New York Giants in his Week 2 start, actually broke the news to Jenkins. Scandrick will continue to play in his nickel role in the sub packages. The coaches thought that might have been too much of a strain on him, having to play two different spots.

Not sure if this is a permanent move or one just for this week. The coaches could revisit the position battle in the future, I’m sure.
