As the Cowboys trim their roster to 53 on Saturday, they will have to figure out how mich both players will be able to help them during the year. Can they afford to keep both players on the final roster, knowing they won’t get a thing from either for the first month or so of the season?
But what if the NFL changed its injured reserve rules?
Years ago they would allow teams to put players on IR for four games during the season and allow him to return. If a player goes on IR now, he’s out for the season. The league changed the rule because teams were stashing players on IR when they were not hurt.
