The fumble by Dallas Cowboys’ running back Marion Barber during Sunday’s win against Washington was his first of the season. Barber had handled the ball 120 times as a runner and a receiver before Redskins’ linebacker London Fletcher caused the turnover in the first quarter.
Barber has shown a marked improvement in his ability to hold onto the football. A year ago, he had seven fumbles in 290 touches.
