In the last 24 hours, just about every conversation I’ve had with somebody has started with, ‘Can they win Sunday in Philadelphia?’

Sure, they can. But this team has done nothing to give a sense of confidence it actually will. What will change this week that they haven’t been able to figure out in the first 16 weeks?

I just went back to look at how they have finished seasons and it’s not been good, whether they’ve been in the playoff chase or out of it.

The Cowboys have not won a season finale since 1999 when they beat the New York Giants, 26-18, at Texas Stadium. Of course, that was another win-and-in game, like this week’s game at Philly. Since, then they’re 0-8

The last time the Cowboys won a road season finale? You have to go all the way back to 1995 when they beat Arizona, 37-13.
